Privacy Policy

The short version
OriginLeap doesn't have a server. Your habit data, your name, and your photo stay on your phone — we never see them. If you connect Apple Health, that data stays local too, is read-only, and is used solely to power the app's own features.
1. Information We Collect
- Profile information (name, photo) — stored only on your device.
- Habit log entries (workout minutes, steps, water, sleep, language-learning minutes, diet status, notes) — stored only on your device.
- Apple Health data, if you grant access: step count, workout duration, and sleep data. This is read-only, stored only on your device, and used solely to pre-fill your daily log.
2. How We Use Information
- On-device data powers the app's own features — tracking, streaks, and stats — and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
- Health data is used only to reduce manual entry. It is never shared, sold, or used for advertising or marketing.
3. Data Storage & Security
OriginLeap currently has no backend server — there is nowhere for your habit data to go but your own device. Locally stored data is protected by your device's standard security (passcode, encryption). Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
4. Apple Health Data
- Access is read-only — OriginLeap never writes to your Health data.
- Never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Never shared with third parties.
- You can revoke access at any time via Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → OriginLeap, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
5. Third-Party Services
OriginLeap does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated first, with a new effective date.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Locally stored data persists until you delete it yourself, either through the app's "Erase all data" option or by deleting the app.
7. Children's Privacy
OriginLeap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Your Rights
Because your habit and health data never leaves your device, we hold no copy of it to access, export, or delete on your behalf — you control it entirely through the app itself.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as OriginLeap adds features — for example, an optional cloud-sync feature in the future. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
